Google has now rolled out monitoring in Google Search AI Mode to everyone globally. When Google first announced this feature, it was only available to Ultra and Pro paid subscribers, but now all Google users can use it.
JW perspective
This shows that Google is not only prioritizing its search business in the AI space, but also aiming to capture the already emerging AI search market. This should be the traditional search engine giant's first proactive shot at the AI search space. Given Google's global search dominance, it only needs to make this service free in the early stages to kill off a batch of AI-focused search vendors.
