JW perspective
If there is one area where Google's algorithm updates have been most frequent this year, it is AIGC. A two-week spam content algorithm update is still underway, and this is already the fourth since 2026. Such a dense run of algorithm adjustments aimed at a single niche shows how determined Google is to deal with the flood of AI content. It also signals that sites using AIGC for SEO have little time left. After the third round of spam content algorithm updates in September, many sites saw fairly large swings in traffic and impressions, with some drops exceeding 80%. Will this fourth round take down another batch of sites doing SEO with AIGC and automation? We will see.
